Some Advice on Thrifting Fabric

One of my favorite things to do is going to flea markets. My grandmother and I load up the car every so often and spend our day in fields or gymnasiums surrounded by curiousities and old clothing. I mostly go because I enjoy the atmosphere, but I can’t help looking for fabrics that I could use in my projects. I would love to share with you some of the things that I have learned.

Thrifting FabricFabric by the yard tends to be scarce at flea marktets and thrift stores, but when you do find it you can often get a good deal for some unique prints. Just yesterday I stumbled into a woman who sold coupons and I purchased about two yards of floral upholstery fabric.
